Buy-side M&A for a Fortune 500 Company
We ensure our partner firms have strong Fortune 500 contacts. In the internship, you can be assigned to a buy-side M&A transaction where you will help identify likely targets for the company. You will build a full-scale merger model on both the acquiring company and the target company to illustrate the potential combined merger effects. You will also need to conduct a valuation analysis including a discounted cash flow analysis and run a complete set of comparable companies. The result will be a Pitchbook presentation for the Managing Directors to present to company management.
Potential Leveraged Buyout of a Small to Mid-Sized Business
Our partner firms may have funds interested in leveraged buyouts. You will be responsible for analyzing a potential investment opportunity for the fund. This includes building a full-scale leveraged buyout model analyzing the potential return (IRR) on the funds' investment in the company. You will need to conduct due diligence on the company's financials to ensure proper valuation. The result will be an investment memorandum describing the business and presenting the opportunity.Sample Resume
